Getner Instruments

Our Beacon of Light

We dedicate the Prosperity of “GETNER GROUP”, to the inspiration we derived from the Lifestyle of Dr. Nanak Chand Wadhawan, respected father of our Founder Chairman Sh. S.K. Wadhawan

World War Hero

Our achievements are inspired by the remarkable legacy of Dr. Nanak Chand Wadhawan, a visionary medical professional and the esteemed father of our Founder Chairman, Sh. S.K. Wadhawan. Dr. Wadhawan, a distinguished army doctor, was a pioneer in plasma therapy. During World War II, he conducted one of the earliest trials of this therapy under harsh conditions in a Japanese prison, without access to laboratory facilities or medications. His groundbreaking work led to the successful treatment of many Indian prisoners.

In the 1960s, Dr. Wadhawan’s practice was a model of comprehensive care, encompassing consultations, clinical investigations, dental treatments, and surgeries. His innovative use of microscopy for clinical analysis captivated his young son, Sh. S.K. Wadhawan. This early exposure to medical microscopy laid the groundwork for the establishment of GETNER in 1970, following Sh. S.K. Wadhawan’s completion of his medical studies.

Today, GETNER is recognized as a leader in microscopy and optical medical instruments, continuing the tradition of excellence and innovation set by Dr. Wadhawan.
